Recreation Soccer - Fall 2026

The Hereford Zone Recreation and Parks Council's Outdoor Soccer Program is open to all kids from the Sparks and 5th District areas. Private schools and other local schools are also welcome. Any kids from the Seventh District or Prettyboy areas should contact their own Recreation Council for their programs but are always welcome to register here. All ability levels are welcome, this is recreation soccer so the theme is to have fun and ensure equal playing time for all kids.

Age groups start at the kindergarten grade level and run through 8th grade. Our clinic program (U6) is co-ed; Under-8, Under-10 and Under-12 play on boys' teams and girls' teams. Under-14 is Girls only. We are also offering a U14 girls' travel team that will play with LTRC. U14 co-ed will be run by the 7th District Rec program (www.seventhdistrictrec.com) and the girls' travel team will be through Hereford Rec. If you are open to some local travel, please sign up on our site under U14 for girls only.

Hereford Zone does not offer high school soccer. Please sign up for that league under Seventh District.

The program's required equipment are soccer cleats, white soccer socks, and shin guards. All players need to purchase these items prior to first practice. Please consult your local sporting goods store for these items. Game jerseys and shorts will be provided by the HZRPC.

Back again after our 2025 season – Our U6 / Kindergarten program will be run by Coach Jonatas Melo, Captain of the Baltimore Blast and owner of Golaco Academy Training! All U6 teams will meet on Saturday mornings only and have 30 minutes of fundamentals followed by 30 minutes of live game play. Coach Melo and his other coaches will lead the teams with the support from parents who are able to help keep the kids interested.

Registration fees will stay the same this year at $105 per registration.

Are you a Shark or a Dragon?

When you register for Recreation Soccer, you will have the option of registering for either Sparks (Sharks) or 5th District (Dragons). Please select the appropriate league for your players to ensure numbers are correctly counted for the two leagues.
